St Patrick's Day Wedding | Amber & Craig
This is the first time that R Hickman Photography captured a wedding on St Patrick’s Day. From the first time I contacted the Bride and Groom, things were a little different. Most communications between the couple and us comes in the form of Brides, but this time, we were in contact with Craig for the most part. This was special to me, because I think it is always important for the Groom to take a big part of the planning.
These two told me that I had permission to do whatever I wanted during this wedding. Free range is the best thing that you can tell a wedding photographer when it comes to capturing a wedding, and this one was absolutely wonderful. From the time that I entered to cottage to begin capturing the day, I was greeted with smiles and such warm welcomes. Amber was having her makeup applied by Tenacious Glam, and it was beautiful. She told me that she was not nervous, but I did sense a little bit on her part. Her mother watched her every mood, and Amber’s father even had a little bit a pampering from this awesome team of make-up professionals.
The wedding began with a bagpiper playing some amazing music. When I heard him play for the first time, I ran to the location that he was, because it sounded like there was a whole band of them. The sound of the bagpipe was amazing. As Amber strolled down the aisle, Craig’s eyes opened wide as he watched his woman approach. I could tell right away that these two were made for one another.
When asked how the proposal took place, Craig responded,
“We've been together many years already and it was informally done out on the patio of our home initially. I think we were both surprised when it actually happened. It wasn't really planned and the moment arose and it was the right time to move our relationship to the next level. There wasn't even a ring at the time, just a heart felt proposal. It was then repeated with the ring on one knee when Amber's mother and Grandfather were here and got to witness it.”
While most proposals are planned, this priceless explanation describes another definition of true love.
The night was amazing, the guests were awesome, and Amber and Craig was the best. Even though it was their special day, they ensured that everyone had a great time. They walked around and greeted every single person at the wedding.
Amber and Craig, we at R Hickman Photography would like to thank you for choosing us to capture your wedding. I had so much fun, and believe that you will truly love the images that we captured. I pray for prosperity and happiness for your marriage, and again Thank You so much!
