Rocking L Ranch Country Wedding | Rachel & Ken
Rachel anxiously sat at the table writing down her vows. Nervousness was written all over her face as she stated, “I’m writing these in the event that I forget them through nervousness.” Remembering that night at Squid Lips, a Brevard County establishment, when she and Ken made eye contact. Something in her body said that she had to meet him.
“I could not tell you if I loved you the first moment I saw you, or if it was the second or third or fourth. But I remember the first moment I looked at you walking toward me and realized that somehow the rest of the world seemed to vanish when I was with you.” –Cassandre Clare
That night was a night that began this great union. Rachel and Ken exchanged numbers, and the rest was history. As Ken walked into the cottage, he was greeted with a gift left by Rachel. This was a special gift as he could now watch time as they grow into eternity together. Ken is a soft, but well-spoken guy that knows how to have fun. He’s laid back, calm and collective. Spending time with Ken, I can imagine how the proposal took place:
On Christmas Day, as Rachel read her sentimental Christmas Card from Ken, he grabbed her hand, fell to his knee and proposed to Rachel. I can imagine the words that came from his mouth were sweet and emotional.
There wedding was such an amazing day as it was full of joy, love, tears, and excitement. Some cried, some laughed, but everyone felt the emotions of the day. The wedding day was even more special to Rachel and Ken because their kids were the bridal party. Bryan, Brandon, Eilly, Breana, and their German daughter Elisa, who came from Germany to stand by her foreign exchange parents’ side on this day, where present.
Rachel and Ken, I would truly like to thank you for demonstrating such great hospitality as I documented your wedding. You two are absolutely amazing, and I pray for nothing but a prosperous marriage for you two! Thank you for allowing R Hickman Photography to document your special day!
