Rocking L Ranch | Christy & Adam
Before this Rocking L Ranch Wedding, I had heard so many great things about Christy. During all four years in college, she would call her mother, Anne, every single month just to say, “Thank You.” Also it was told to me that she has never missed curfew while growing up. As matter of fact, she would always arrive home early. All of these great stories describe a bride with such great character. And meeting her in person, I knew that the stories like these were nothing but the truth. She so sweet, and soft-spoken, and a great woman like this deserves a great husband…which Christy got! One night Christy went to a friends place for a game of volleyball, not knowing this game would forever change her life. At this volleyball game, she met Daniel.
Before the wedding, I also had the opportunity to meet Daniel. Daniel is a Master at Arms (Military Police) in the United States Navy, and he is very outspoken, but has an absolutely great personality. You never know what the expect from Daniel, and this is exactly what happened when he popped the Big Question:
Here is how Christy describes it: “A little back story before the night, he told me he was going to take me out to a nice fancy dinner and even bought me a dress for it. He took me to river city brew house in Jacksonville and it was right on the water. We went with another couple that was in the military, we finished our dinner and nothing happened yet. Once dessert time came is when he started to get really quiet ;). I had no idea what was wrong with him and kept asking him, he just kept telling me he was fine. He gets up to go to the bathroom and his friend goes with him. (This is where I get suspicious and ask if he was a girl ;)) They start talking with the hostess for a couple minutes, and then come back and they surprised us with champagne! We made a toast and he asked his friend to take a picture of us, then before he took it is when he got down on one knee and asked to spend the rest of our lives together :). Everyone one in the restaurant cheered and there was even one waitress that stayed 30 min past her out time just to see it happen!”
Christy and Daniel together is the symbol of fun and love, as these two understand how to have a great time. Now that Christy is a Navy Wife, I would love to leave her with the Navy Wife Prayer:
“Dear Lord, Give me the greatness of hear to see, the difference between duty and his love for me. Give me a task to do each day, to help pass the time while he’s away. Give me the understanding so I may know, that when duty calls, he must go. And, Dear Lord when he goes out to sea, please bring him home safely to me!”
Christy and Daniel, I want to thank you for choosing R Hickman Photography to capture your Wedding. I wish nothing but success as you two together begin your career to protect this country that we all call home. I have nothing but the highest level of respect for both of you! Your wedding was a blast, and Thank You again.
